To everyone who experienced hotel issues last year, please
accept once again our apologies for your frustration
regarding last year's prepay and the hotel's cancellation
policies. We were as upset over this as you were and worked
very hard to make all of you whole before and after the
event had concluded.
The problem, as stated, in our literature last year, was
that in order to secure a sufficient number of hotel rooms
for all the teams in the tournament, we were required to
adhere to the hotel policies with respect to Advance
Purchase. This meant the rooms had to be pre- paid and we
were bound with a No Refund cancellation policy. Please
note that this was the policy of the hotels and, in order to
make sure we had enough rooms secured for all our teams, we
were obligated to abide by their conditions.
Please note that we have aggressively worked with all our
Hotel Contacts to go back to the original way we handled our
hotel rooms. And, so in the future we will NOT be
prepaying any hotel rooms 30 days in advance and all hotels
will follow their own individual cancellation policies which
they advertise for any paying customer (typically 24-48
hours).
Our tournament hotel staff will continue to provide you with
our hotel forms and gather your credit card information but
will merely pass it on to the hotel, and therefore all
questions regarding payments and fees charged must be
addressed to the hotel directly.
Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions
or concern. Again, please accept our apologies for any
confusion or dissatisfaction you may have experienced last
year. With your feedback, we can make the necessary
improvements to better serve you and all of our tournament
teams in the future.
